    Project Objective

Please provide a statement of what you researched, analyzed, or created, not to exceed 50 words. The project objective submitted with your application will be printed in the Showcase program and cannot be amended after the February 20 deadline.
iTour provides an interactive experience combining an individual’s personal gps device and a technological sightseeing tour through a city. While taking the user to different places around the city using gps, iTour will provide additional media, pictures and video, giving the user full knowledge of the specific locations. In order for the user to continue through locations, they must answer questions about the current location making iTour an interactive scavenger hunt.

Project Abstract, Summary, or Creative Statement

This statement, not to exceed 300 words, is the center of your application and should, therefore, use language that can be understood by both someone knowledgeable in the field and also by a reasonably informed non-specialist. It should explain what you investigated or created, the methods you used, and your results, conclusions, or predictions. You should also describe in the statement what contributions to the discipline or to society your project might make, or why you consider the project worth doing.

    Optional References (i.e. literature cited)

Although not required, you may list up to four resources or works (e.g., books, articles, interviews, lectures, performances, exhibitions) that have provided a basis or grounding for your project. This list, if included, should use the citation style appropriate to your discipline. If you do not know which citation style to use, please consult with your faculty mentor. This list is optional and is not part of the above-mentioned 300-word requirement.

List any references for your abstract here

    Special Concerns

All projects will be provided 4x2 feet of table space. Presenters are responsible for providing their own poster board, laptops, monitors, or other equipment. As the capacity to supply power to projects in the Student Union is extremely limited, presenters must bring battery packs. If electricity is essential to your project, please justify this in the following field.

    Presentation Times

All student presenters must attend the April 2nd Showcase. No projects may be presented in absentia. Please select the time when you can present that, if possible, does not conflict with your class schedule. If this is a group project, please select the time during which one student colleague can present, if possible.
    1:40pm - 2:55pm
    2:55pm - 4:10pm
All times listed conflict with my class schedule
No times listed conflict with my class schedule
    Faculty Mentor Endorsement

Primary Student Presenter: After completing the online application, please PRINT the Faculty Mentor Endorsement, have your UCF faculty mentor SIGN this endorsement, and then SUBMIT the signed Endorsement by 5 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2009 by mail, fax, or in person to:

I used our Scope sentence and lines from Jared's draft copy of the project objective for the sure application. Let's agree on this so we can submit the application.

    Project Objective (50word)

iTour is an interactive mapping system application, enabling a user to be guided around a location using a PDA. By visiting around a town or city using GPS, iTour will direct a user through and give historical facts and trivia through an interactive scavenger hunt via media, images and video.

We all need to sit down tomorrow and complete this essay below out together.
